“Not only are they excited about mastering a new skill but they are buzzing from the fact that they can take this home and share it with sons, daughters, younger brothers and sisters. An example of this is when one of the other participants in our cluster showed us how he used [materials] to help students do difficult multiplication [problems]. I showed this to my class and they loved it and were really eager to get home and teach it to family members.”
