The webinar was focussed how literacy and numeracy are embedded in EIT’s Foundation Education Project and the various work streams.It highlighted how programme redesign and implementation has been undertaken alongside professional development for tutors, and how this is supported by literacy and numeracy champions and advisors. The implications of the evaluation results for 2010 and beyond were presented.
Elly Govers
Elly works as Academic Advisor at EIT, supporting teaching and non-teaching staff with educational matters. Since late 2007 she has led foundation education initiatives at EIT, resulting in managing the Foundation Education project since 2009. She is also managing the Self-Assessment Project at EIT. Her specific interest is programme design in tertiary education, in which area she is currently writing her thesis as part of her studies towards a doctorate in education.
